Two men injured after falling on ice

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to two workplace accidents Monday, related to falls on ice.

Shortly after 8 a.m. Monday, the RNC received a report of a workplace accident at a business in the Goulds area of St. John's.

Fire and ambulance personnel were also called to the scene. A 55- year-old male employee had slipped on ice and had taken a fall outside the business.

He was treated for minor injuries.

Around 8:24 a.m., the RNC responded to another workplace accident at a business on Clyde Avenue.

Fire and ambulance personnel were also called to the scene. A 43-year-old man had also slipped on ice and had taken a fall outside the business. He was also given medical treatment and released.
