Only patients with scheduled appointments or emergencies will be able to have X-rays completed at a Gander hospital for the next little while, according to a Central Health news release.

That’s because one of the X-ray machines at James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre is not working. Only scheduled appointments and emergencies in general radiography will be accommodated at the diagnostic imaging department starting Wednesday. Other diagnostic imaging services are unaffected.
Central Health said in the release X-ray services should be fully restored within 48 hours. An update will be provided once the equipment is repaired and services are fully restored.
