Police suspect animal repellent was used during a fight involving a large group of young people in the east end of St. John’s.
According to a Royal Newfoundland Constabulary spokeswoman, there were no reports of serious injuries. The RNC overnight report said police were called to a home shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday.
The spokeswoman said police did find an animal repellent container at the scene. The overnight report initially suggested bear spray may have been used during the incident.
The RNC did not have anyone in custody as of late Saturday morning, but it was still investigating the matter.
Police believe bear spray was used during a brawl involving a large group of young people in the east end of St. John’s.
