Fishermen and plant workers are demonstrating this morning at the federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) headquarters in St. John's.

The protest is being staged by the Fish Food and Allied Workers (FFAW) union at the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Centre in the White Hills area over federal plans to announce cutbacks in allowable fish catches and the LIFO ( last in first out) policy.
