Three charged with impaired driving over the weekend in Labrador

About 1:30 p.m. Sunday, the RCMP in Rigolet was advised of a man driving a snow machine in the community who was impaired.

The investigation into this complaint ended up with a 66-year-old man from the community being arrested for impaired driving.

He was later released from custody to appear in court at a later date.

 On Friday, about 10 a.m., the RCMP in Nain was advised that a man had just left the local gas bar on a snow machine and was impaired.

Investigation into this complaint ended up with a 43-year-old man from the community being arrested for impaired driving.

He was held in custody and was to appear in provincial court today.

Meantime, early Sunday morning — about 12:05 a.m. — RCMP Traffic Services in Happy Valley-Goose Bay stopped a vehicle travelling on Hamilton River Road in the community. As a result, a 53-year-old man from Goose Bay was arrested for impaired driving.

The man was released from custody later the same day to appear in court at a later date.
