Police in St. John’s have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection to an attempted armed robbery at a convenience store in January.
According to a Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, the accused will likely face additional charges for his alleged involvement in several other armed robberies.
For now, the man is charged with attempted armed robbery, disguise with intent and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
They stem from an incident at City Superette and Video on Pleasant Street where a man armed with a weapon demanded cash. He left the store empty handed. No one was injured.
Police said the accused was arrested without incident and held to appear in court.
