Another armed robbery reported Sunday night in capital city

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has confirmed the Guv'nor Inn in St. John's is the hotel where an armed robbery was reported early this morning.

The incident was reported around 2:15 a.m. at the centre-city hotel on Elizabeth Avenue.

Two men were reported to have entered a centre-city hotel around 2:15 a.m. with their faces covered and demanding cash from the employee.

The type of weapon used hasn’t been confirmed at this time. Both men escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating an armed robbery early this morning at a hotel in St. John's.

Two men were reported to have entered a centre-city hotel around 2:15 a.m. with their faces covered and demanding cash from the employee.

The type of weapon used hasn’t been confirmed at this time. Both men escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

RNC Patrol Services, K-9, Forensic Identification and Criminal Investigation Division members responded to the call. There were no injuries.

Another armed robbery was reported in St. John's Sunday night.

Around 6:37 p.m. , RNC officers responded to a reported robbery in the Anderson Avenue/Freshwater Road area.

The victim reported that he was robbed by a man driving a green vehicle and claimed he had a knife. There were no injuries and the suspect escaped with undisclosed amount of cash.
