A St. John’s man who was the subject of a Canada-wide warrant for his involvement in several violent crimes in 2012 is behind bars.
Troy Boss was arrested last week in Sparwood, B.C. by members of the Elk Valley.
He was then escorted back to this province, where he was taken into custody by members of the RCMP and Royal Newfoundland Constabulary.
Boss first appeared in provincial court in St. John’s Friday. He was remanded into custody and is due back in court May 16.
The warrant was issued on the 30-year-old as a result of incidents that reportedly happened on Aug. 18, 2012.
Boss is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, theft and several breaches of court orders.
