RNC releases video in armed robbery investigation

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Criminal Investigation Division is seeking the public’s assistance in connection with an armed robbery in Mount Pearl.

On Thursday, around 10:30 p.m., RNC officers, assisted by the K-9 Unit, responded to a report of an armed robbery at Needs Convenience on Barbour Drive.

A male suspect entered the store, armed with a weapon and demanded cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries sustained during the commission of the offence.

The suspect is described as being in his early 20s, approximately five feet-five inches tall, with a

skinny build.

At the time of the incident, the suspect was described as wearing a black hoodie and a bandana which was used to conceal his face.The RNC is seeking the assistance of the general public in identifying this man.
