Robbery video released by RNC

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Criminal Investigation Division has released a video and is seeking the public’s assistance in connection with a robbery at a convenience store on Topsail Road in St. John’s.

Around 10:40 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, RNC patrol officers, Forensic Identification Services, Police Dog Services and Criminal Investigation Division members responded to a robbery at Williams Fine Foods.

A male suspect entered the store unarmed and demanded cash before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. There were no injuries sustained during the commission of the offence.

The suspect is described as being 30 years old, approximately five feet, six inches to five feet, seven inches in height with a medium build. At the time of the incident, the suspect was described as wearing a dark-coloured toque, heavy black winter jacket, white sneakers and a yellow cloth which was used to cover his face.
