Company proposes barite recovery for sale to oil industry

A proposal has been filed with the provincial government for barite mining in Buchans, with operations running May to October for the next 15 years.

A decision from the minister on whether more detailed information will be needed is expected June 29.

The mining operation would include the restart of the former Buchans Development Corp.’s barite operation. The restart would be to again collect and recycle base-metal tailings from a mine operated at the site in the 1980s.

The tailings are stored in a tailings pond and would be removed by dredging.

No construction would be required, according to a notice issued by the provincial Department of Environment on the proposed new mining operation.

“Approximately 40,000 to 50,000 tonnes will be removed per season to make 10,000 tonnes of barite product,” it states.

The submitted proposal for the new operation has yet to be posted online, but is expected to be made available.

There is no stated estimate on how many jobs might be expected, if the mine operation is approved.

    Limestone (Calcium Carbonate CaCO3) and Potash Rock (Potassium Carbonate KCO3) are two common rocks that can be environmentally chemically converted into petroleum!     NfLb will fortunately be able to export our A) electrical capacity and B) Limestone rock ground and C) Hydro-Chloric Acid if they pay for it! The U.S. is already addicted to (synthetic Octane) gasoline! We are, in accounting terms, exporting all 3 inputs and labour by exporting (synthetic Octane) gasoline! Free trade of energy will see the demise of OPEC & Quebec who tried to limit the free trade of energy to suit themselves!

    Believe it or not the Bitumen our emigrants to Fort McMurray change into oil requires many times more carbon to just heat it out of the ground than my process which only requires 8 carbons to be electrolyzed into 1 Octane gasoline molecule! Since my method uses the bare minimum of Carbons to make synthetic Octane gasoline we'll be working in the Port aux Port peninsula or west of St. Anthony to make synthetic Octane gasoline in the near future!

You can make 100% synthetic Octane gasoline from a mere fraction of what Suncor converts their Potassium CARBONate into regular grade synthetic gasoline & flare gas! So if you limit your synthetic gasoline production to 10% of total production I'll only get 5.1% of your gasoline sales! If you spend $1 million promoting your synthetic gasoline merits, I'll get paid 5.1% of your gasoline sales minus the $510,000 advertising expense! But time will prove very well for your synthetic Octane gasoline sales and as time marches on you'll see the synthetic Octane gasoline sales approaching 100% of gasoline sales and my 5.1% approaching 51% of total sales! And with your sales-price being lower than oil explored for & produced from the ground & refined, consumption of it will also soar! But you'll stay in control of 100% of your shares! You don't have to discuss this in hypotheticals since I recommend to start a test site right here in Buchan's Nfld.!       A map of rock types all around NfLb. shows that 80% of the Port aux Port Peninsula is Limestone (Calcium Carbonate) & a lot of Limestone is also found just west of St. Anthony! It's allot closer than Fort McMurray and the tax-money remains in NfLb.!
