There were several assaults in the RNC's overnight report for Friday

A 22 year old male was arrested in the downtown area of St. John’s Friday night for carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, obstructing a police officer and several breaches of court orders. There was also an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was detained for morning court.


RNC officers after responded to a domestic disturbance in the center part of St. John’s Friday night. A 32 year old male was arrested for assault, as was a 32 year old female along with a breach of a court order. The male was released to make a court appearance at a later date while the female was detained for morning court.


On Friday the RNC in Corner Brook responded to a disturbance in the area of Caribou Road and Greenings Hill. It was reported that a male had assaulted a female. A 59 year old male resident of Corner Brook was charged with criminal harassment, assault, resisting arrest and breach of probation. He’ll appear in court later in May.
