The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) in Corner Brook will be partnering with staff at Shopper’s Drug Mart’s West Street location for a Public Pill Drop on Monday.
The public is encouraged to clean out their medicine cabinets and drop off any unused or expired medications at the drug store between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The RNC said in a news release, this is a great opportunity to dispose of unneeded medications in a way that will ensure they don’t fall into the hands of youth.
All Identifying information will be removed from pill bottles and the RNC said, anyone turning in medication is assured anonymity. The public is reminded that no sharp materials will be accepted at this time.
