RNC release video in armed robbery investigation

The RNC’s Criminal Investigation Division has released a video in connection with an armed robbery at the Gov’nor Inn on Elizabeth Avenue in St. John’s in the early morning hours of April 28.

Investigators are hoping members of the public can provide information to help identify the suspects seen on the video.

About 2:15 a.m. on that Monday, RNC officers responded to the location. Two males had entered the hotel with undisclosed weapons and demanded cash before fleeing the scene with an amount of cash.

There were no injuries during the incident.

One of the males is described as being approximately 6’0” in height with a skinny build and with a darker complexion. At the time of the incident the suspect was described as wearing dark-coloured clothes with his hood up and had dark-coloured sunglasses.

The second male was described as wearing a ski mask and also had a hood up.

Both males are said to be in their 20’s.
