RNC seeking help to identify attempted break-in suspect at downtown bar

The RNC is hoping the public can help identify a person who attempted to break-in to the Duke of Duckworth bar in downtown St. John’s on the morning of April 25.

About 8 a.m. that day, RNC officers were called to the Duckworth Street bar where a man had attempted to gain entry through the back door before being noticed by staff.

The suspect then fled the area on foot.

The male suspect is described as being in his mid-20s. At the time of the incident he was described as wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and was wearing a multi-coloured winter hat.

RNC investigators are asking anyone with information in relation to this incident to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.

The RNC reminds the public that any person that is in possession of stolen property can be charged criminally under the Criminal Code of Canada.
