No injuries in moose-vehicle accidents 15 minutes apart

There were no injuries in two moose-vehicle accidents 15 minutes apart in the St. John's area Thursday night.

The RNC says officers were called to the first at 9:37 p.m. on Blackhead Road in St. John's. Two female occupants were in the south-bound vehicle when it struck a moose near the Maddox Cove Road intersection.

The moose was killed and the vehicle received moderate damage. 

The RNC responded to the second call at 9:52 p.m. on the Robert E. Howlett Memorial Drive in St. John's near Bay Bulls Big Pond.

The moose was killed and there was moderate damage to the vehicle in that incident.
