Two alleged drunk drivers were caught minutes apart in Sheshatshiu on Friday.
Local RCMP arrested a 39-year-old man after a complaint was received late Friday afternoon about a vehicle travelling toward Happy Valley-Goose Bay from Sheshatshiu. Breath samples provided by the suspect were reportedly almost twice the legal limit.
It was approximately 15 minutes later that another alleged impaired driver was arrested. The vehicle was initially spotted near a local school. The 27-year-old man’s breath samples more than twice the legal limit, according to police.
Both men face impaired driving-related charges and have been released from custody. They will appear in a Happy Valley-Goose Bay courtroom in July.
