Police in Bay Roberts found cocaine after pulling over a vehicle in Bay Roberts on Saturday.
Christopher King of Carbonear is facing charges of possession of a controlled drug or substance and failure to comply with a recognizance as well as several charges under the Highway Traffic Act, according to Trinity Conception RCMP.
The traffic stop occurred shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday. The vehicle was initially pulled over for an alleged traffic violation.
The 34-year-old remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in a Harbour Grace courtroom on Monday.
