This time, 20-year-old charged with breaching court orders

An attempted murder suspect who was granted bail last month is back behind bars. Brandon (also known as Brendon) Christopher Tobin made a brief appearance in provincial court in St. John’s Monday, a day after he was picked up by police for reportedly breaching bail conditions.

Brandon Christopher Tobin is escorted out of provincial court in St. John’s after a brief appearance before a judge.

His case was set over until June 25.

Tobin, 20, also faces charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, two counts of assault with a weapon, breach of probation and breach of an undertaking.

Police say he brutally attacked two men with a baseball bat April 26 in the area of Keegan Court.

One of the two victims in the case was later located in hospital, where he was being treated for serious injuries. Police would not confirm or deny if the injuries were life-threatening.

Tobin is also charged with mischief and breaching court orders in connection with a separate incident that reportedly happened April 12.
