Police in Labrador City are looking for clues to help catch a beer thief who targeted a local convenience store earlier this year.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary released a video Tuesday from the break-in at Lakeside Convenience that occurred shortly after midnight on April 7.

The suspect smashed glass in the store’s front door to gain entry. Based on video evidence, it appears two 12-packs of beer were stolen. The store is located on Maple Crescent.

Police describe the suspect as a tall man wearing a dark-coloured winter jacket with a drawstring waist, light-coloured snow pants and dark-coloured sneakers described by police as “skater style.”

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
