RCMP investigating cabin break-ins in Labrador

The RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay is investigating a number of break-ins at cabins along the Trans-Labrador Highway in recent days and is asking anyone with information regarding this to call the RCMP.


Some of the cabins sustained damage and some items were stolen.  

One break and enter occurred at Edwards Brook between June 9 and June 10. Nothing appears to be missing as a result of this incident.

A second break and enter was reported to have occurred at a location on Highway 500 about 120 kilometers from Happy Valley-Goose Bay. This incident is believed to have occurred between June 8 and June 11.

The suspects attempted to steal a boat. They did steal a Primos trail camera, as well as a quantity of liquor and other sundry items.

 The RCMP is asking cabin owners to be vigilant and to report any other thefts or suspicious persons or vehicles in the area.
