A well-known local real estate agent has been ordered to pay back more than $53,000 to the government for income tax evasion.
David Norris was sentenced today. He wasn't in court, but was represented by his lawyer James Smyth.
Norris pleaded guilty to one count of violating the Income Tax Act and one count of violating the Excise Act.
The total fine was $53,916.79. He will make $898.61 monthly payments for five years.
The sentence was agreed upon by Smyth and Crown prosecutor Bill Howse.
