Water, sewer work causes traffic slowdown in St. John's

If you're driving on Cornwall Avenue in St. John's, near the Craigmillar Avenue intersection, you can expect some traffic delays today caused by ongoing construction work.

A section of the street has been reduced to one lane this afternoon, with long lineups of vehicles travelling east and west.

According to the City of St. John's website,  the work involving water main, storm and sanitary sewer replacement, which began in May, will continue into August.

A new storm sewer main, water main and sanitary sewer main are being installed between 117 Craigmillar Avenue to the Cornwall Avenue intersection, over a distance of about 425 metres.
