Missing boater brought safely to shore in Labrador

A 57-year-old man, who was reported missing in a boat on the Churchill River in Labrador, was located and brought safely back to shore Tuesday night.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Churchill Falls, the Churchill Falls Ground Search and Rescue and a member of the Canadian Rangers responded to the report of the missing man around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The man was located in the rapids area of the Churchill River and brought back safely to shore with no injuries reported.
