Bail hearing set for man charged in Cabot Street stabbing

A 51-year-old facing charges following a stabbing incident at a residence on Cabot Street in St. John’s Friday afternoon has a bail hearing scheduled for Monday.

Ralph Driscoll, 51, was in provincial court in St. John’s today.

Driscoll faces two charges — aggravated assault and assault with a weapon, a knife.

The incident occurred about 4:42 p.m. Friday. The victim was treated for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The victim and suspect were known to each other.
