A man suspected of stabbing another man earlier this month has been released from custody

Ralph Driscoll, 51 was granted bail today at provincial court in St. John’s following a hearing. Judge Pamela Goulding made the decision this afternoon.
Conditions include that he report to RNC headquarters twice a week. He must adhere to a curfew. He’s not allowed to have weapons and must abstain from alcohol and drugs. He was also ordered to stay away from the complainant.
Driscoll is due back in court Sept. 15.
He's charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
The stabbing incident happened at 4:42 p.m. on Aug. 1. The victim was treated for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
The victim and suspect knew each other.
