Firefighters and police responded to a call of a possible structure fire at the Yellowbelly Brewery in St. John's Sunday morning.
While a further investigation is expected, Capt. Pat Power of the St. John’s Regional Fire Department said the issue appeared to be furnace related. He also cited possible issues with the building’s chimney.
The building did not lose power. Firefighters were visible from the ground working near a window on the top floor of the building. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary was also on hand to redirect traffic from the scene.
Several fire trucks responded to the call, but no water hoses were sent inside the building.
