Temporary accommodations were found Wednesday for a mother and son left homeless following a mid-afternoon fire in St. John’s.
The fire damaged one-unit of a six-unit townhouse on Buckmaster’s Circle. Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation is responsible for the property and arranged temporary accommodations. There were no injuries.
According to a Canadian Red Cross news release, disaster volunteers helped the mother and her 18-year-old son access emergency food and clothing.
