Another armed robbery with syringe in Holyrood

The RCMP is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a convenience store in Holyrood around 8:50 p.m. Monday.


A lone male reportedly entered the store, produced a syringe and demanded money from the clerk. 

He is described as about five feet, nine inches tall 170 to 180 pouinds, and was wearing a dark, puffy, bomber-style jacket, a salt and pepper stocking cap and mirrored sunglasses. He left the store with a small quantity of cash.

The RCMP said the clerk was not physically injured in the robbery. Anyone with information that might help in the investigation is asked to call the Holyrood RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers.  

There were two armed robberies with syringes in St. John's on the weekend. An arrest was made in relation to one of the incidents.
