Nestlé Canada Inc. is recalling some of its Delissio brand frozen pizzas from the marketplace due to the possible presence of pieces of glass.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) said in a release the recall is national. Consumers should not consume the recalled products:

• Delissio Pizzeria vintage Tuscan-Style Chicken Pizza 547-grams Code 6017525952, best before date: BB/MA 2016NO12, UPC 071921723583;

• Delissio Thin Crispy Crust Grilled Chicken Tomato & Spinach Pizza 600 grams Code 53625273C1, best before date BB/MA 2016JL25, UPC 071921764814.

The recall was triggered by a recall in the United States.

The CFIA said it’s conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. If other high-risk products are recalled, the CFIA will notify the public through updated food recall warnings.

The agency said it is also verifying that industry is removing recalled product from the marketplace.
