Three west coast communities will have had their elections postponed due to a lack of interest from residents.

Jackson's Arm only received two nominations when three are required for an election, so a second nomination deadline has been set for Oct. 6 with a new election date set for Oct. 27.

The community of Glenburnie-Birchy Head-Shoal Brook had its second nomination deadline on Sept. 29. The communities did not receive enough nominations for an election so the revised election date will be Oct. 27.

Meanwhile, residents of Cormack have until Oct. 6 to get nominations in. The town did not receive enough nominations for an election in the first go around. If enough nominations come in this time, voters will go to the polls on Oct. 27.
