Boyds Cove pair in court to face assault charges

A couple from Boyd's Cove charged with assaulting and robbing an 88-year-old Horwood man on Sept. 10 and 11 appeared in provincial court in Gander today.
Trudy Euginia Pryor, 66, faces an array of charges, including breaking and entering, two counts of assault, uttering threats, robbery and committing indecent acts.
Pryor will stay in custody until her next court appearance Nov. 10.
The charges against Wade Kenneth Arthur Manuel, 28, include break and enter, assault with a weapon, assault and robbery.
He'll remain in custody until Oct. 29, when he is expected to plead to the charges and decide whether to proceed to trial with judge and jury, or judge alone.
