The family of a Moncton woman, who has been missing for almost a month, was overjoyed to learn Wednesday afternoon that she is alive and well.
"I'm the happiest I've ever been," said Austin Lawrence, the brother of Donna O'Rielly. "We're all so happy she's OK."
Lawrence, who still lives in the family's hometown of Isle aux Morts on the southwest coast of Newfoundland, said he was taking the next boat to the mainland and couldn't wait to see his sister.
He also said the family had a surprise for her since her abduction: she will soon have a new great-grandchild.
O'Rielly, 54, had been missing since Feb. 26, and the family had almost given up hope of finding her alive.
But on Wednesday, after she turned up, the RCMP arrested a 62-year-old man in connection with her disappearance. He will appear in Moncton provincial court Thursday.
"She was abducted, but she got away on her own and flagged down a Purolator truck that was going by and they called the cops," said Lawrence. "We heard she's OK physically, though."
O'Rielly was being assessed in a Moncton hospital Wednesday afternoon. Police were releasing few details about the suspect. "He is a Moncton resident, and he is known to police," said Codiac Regional RCMP Media Relations Officer Const. Chantal Farrah.
"He'll be appearing in court sometime (Thursday). The investigation is just beginning, and the police will have to find out a lot of details from Donna O'Rielly herself."

Not knowing the family I still felt their pain, I prayed for them and hoped for the best---GOD did answer.
