Nova Scotia's auditor general says he has referred another case to the RCMP in his examination of legislature expense claims.
In a news release today, Jacques Lapointe says he was informed May 20 by the Speaker's office that they had come into possession of evidence of possible illegalities in expense claims.
Lapointe says the case involves a former member of the legislature, whom he would not name.
On May 18, files related to expense claims of one current and four former members of the legislative assembly were also referred to the RCMP.
