Funeral today for Michigan kayaker

RCMP?say a 63-year-old kayaker who died in the waters off the Baie Verte Peninsula last weekend is being laid to rest today in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
David Gillette and a friend left Coachman's Cove in kayaks just before midnight last Saturday and short time later his kayak capsized and he as thrown into the water.
RCMP have said eight-foot waves contributed to Gillette's death.
His body was recovered Sunday afternoon near Horse Islands.
RCMP say their investigation is continuing, and has thus far an autopsy has revealed Gillette succumbed to drowning.
