RCMP investigating rash of thefts in Placentia area

Members of the RCMP in Placentia are investigating a number of thefts that have occurred in the Placentia area over the past couple of weeks.
Items stolen include a generator, lawnmower and weed eater from the Jerseyside, Dunville and Placentia areas.
On Thursday night, nine flags were stolen from different land marks within the community of Placentia, namely the Royal Canadian Legion, Star of the Sea association, provincial court house and two from the town of Placentia.
RCMP are actively investigating these thefts but need the public's help.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact the RCMP at 227-2000 or to call Crime Stoppers.
