Man involved in collision has $15,000 in outstanding fines: RNC

Police also respond to fire near Mundy Pond

A man involved in a collision on New Gower Street in St. John's overnight was charged with having no driver's licence and other traffic offences.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary also learned the man had $15,000 in outstanding fines.
He was released to appear in court at a later date. There were no injuries. Both vehicles involved in the collision were towed from the scene.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, police officers and the St. John's Regional Fire Department responded to a fire in an vacant home on Mundy Pond Road in St. John's. An investigation into the cause of the blaze is ongoing.
