Deer Lake RCMP investigating attempted break-in at drugstore

Deer Lake are investigating an attempted break and enter at Shoppers Drug Mart in Deer Lake.
The attempt was made sometime Thursday night when unknown persons attempted to gain access to the store by prying open two of the back doors. They could not gain access.
The RCMP says the incident follows several break and enters in the area including an incident on June 25 when unknown persons gained access to the Hideaway Pub in Deer Lake and the July 6 incident where the Hampden Fire Hall was broken into and a safe was stolen.
Anyone with any information on these incidents is asked to contact the Deer Lake RCMP at 709-635-2173 or to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
