Motorcycle driver suffers serious injuries in accident

RCMP Avalon East District officers were called to a serious collision about 4:30 p.m. Sunday on the Trans Canada Highway near the Rod and Gun Club in which a motorcycle driver suffered multiple injuries.
The 39-year-old man's motorcycle had struck a guard rail and the man landed on a pile of rocks. He was transported to the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's by ambulance and was listed in critical condition.
The police investigation is continuing.
