A 35-year-old man was charged with mischief, assault, resisting arrest, and two counts of assaulting police officers Sunday in St. John's.
The man is also facing several counts of assaulting a woman on Saturday.
Sunday's charges resulted from a complaint of the man tearing down a neighbour's fence in the central area of the city.
Police say the man resisted arrest and was held in custody for an appearance in provincial court today.
