Allan spent 35 years developing his family business. He lives in St. John's with wife Cynthia Crosbie and three children.

Meanwhile, Liberal nominations open in the district of Terra Nova and the Straits-White Bay today at noon. The nomination period ends Thursday, March 31, also at noon.

Do you honestly think Siobhan Coady should come out of parliament? She's a strong voice and makes a lot of noise for the right reasons. It will be quite a shame should she lose her place. She's good for this province and good for this country. And I don't think Mr. Harris should feel threatened. He's the right man for the district that's for sure. And theres nothing hidden in this story. The acclaimation came from him being the only nomination. This is a story about nominations. The heading might not be accurate, but its no misleading. And here I was believing that news happens 7 days a week! Sheesh!

John Allan will be defeated and hopefully he will take Siobhan Coady with him. The other Liberal MP's are safe.

Why are these nominations hidden under a story about a Federal Liberal candidate being acclaimed?? Very strange!! While reading the end of the article i had to remind myself that the focus had gone provincial!! Maybe they are ashamed of one of the candidates and some of their actions over the past year! Maybe they are afraid someone will run against him for the nomination! Normally this comes out in the form of a release on its own!! And on a Saturday too. Something is up here!! Can someone in the districts fill us in?
