The Canso crew arrived in St. Anthony last night to start the process of swapping out the engines on the static display model the town owns.

The Save The Canso group, from Alberta, retrived a downed Canso from the Artic and started the process of repairing it but needed engines with flying time.

The Town of St. Anthony and the Town of Stephenville – who donated the plane to St. Anthony – agreed to donate the engines to the cause.

The engine crew will be spending the next number of days making the swap.
