SYDNEY, N.S. — A Newfoundland and Labrador man was released from custody Monday and is to return to Nova Scotia provincial court in October to enter a plea on a drug charge.
Timothy Mitchell, 53, of Corner Brook, is charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
He was arrested Aug. 20 at the Marine Atlantic ferry terminal in North Sydney at about 8 p.m.
Members of the Cape Breton Regional Police Service and RCMP joint force drug section were involved in the search.
Among his release conditions, Mitchell is to abide by a curfew, refrain from alcohol and drugs not prescribed him by a doctor and he is not to associate with anyone with a criminal record.
Mitchell is scheduled to return to court Oct. 22.
