This writer clearly knows very little about the Canadian immigration problem. He hates Harper and then makes a strawman case for it. Effective immigration means getting the most educated and skilled workers for our country so that these new immigrants can contribute to our GDP, not be a drain on it. It does not mean importing people with skill sets that are of little or no use to our country or are too old to contribute. Some of the people mentioned above are good candidates for the welfare/nanny state and the old age security system. Harper and Kenny are trying to correct the Liberal system that allowed too much of the wrong demographic into our country. There are tens of thousands of good people wanting to enter Canada. Racism? Really Mr. Johansen? Is that what you think the big bad Conservatives are up to? Give your head a shake.
