Senate reform is long overdue and, while I may be beating a dead horse, the idea of a Triple E Senate is still the one that make the most sense for smaller provinces. We have to get away from the notion that, somehow, some provinces are more equal that others based on population, resources, and geography. Every province needs to know its interests are not being stymied by the big provinces like Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, and B.C. It can and should be done...and yes, a referendum could be conducted but what needs to be asked is how we can reform it to make the government of the day accountable to all of its citizens...no matter where they live.
