If ever there was an opportunity for a group to make a statement, it was the day of the Lower Churchill announcement. Where was NAPE when the Premier was announcing that Newfoundland and Labrador was going to add 4 billion dollars to our debt, while a handful of special care providers have been ignored for over a year? Some media (obviously not all) might have shown a demonstration outside the Sheraton. There was no media because there was no demonstration. Why not? NAPE, you missed an opportunity.

The Voice Of Ordinary Citizens and Reason Tells It Like It Is Once Again, Always A Pleasure To Read This Colum.... And I Agree Just How Bad Could Things Be Or Get Without Unions, That Not Only Speak Out For Their Members But Everyone In Our Society Including Seniors and Those Disadvantaged. And Yes The Strike By Those 14 Women On The Burin Peninsula Should Be A Total Embarasment To Government.... This Is The Season Of Giving And Government Needs To Be Reminded Of This And Move To End This Unfortunate Situation Not Only For The Few Workers Involved But For Their Clients.... Great Job By Lana.... As Usual !!!!!!!!
