WOW! I am so glad you enjoyed your trip to Nova Scotia wine country Pam. You are absolutely right about the amazing travel adventures (culinary, wine, etc) we have in Atlantic Canada. Hope you filled in your wine passport at the wineries you visited - we have some great wine-inspired prizes! Cheers!

Ok the lose of the ferry was bad but have you ever seen a goverment admit they were ever wrong. I say No, they would rather lose millions in tax payers money then to do that. Besides its not there money. So what as long as they dont look like they made a mistake :) We people of the working class have been getting min wages and the hard end of the boot from or employers and province for years. The hi taxes , unwillingness to change and pay decent wages is forcing our young to look for employment out of province, wile our goverment spends it in a winning city like halifax. like in yarmouth I dont care about my nabour have some two houndred year old house owned by some sea captain long dead and forgotten. I am more concerned about paying my enormous ns power bills and haveing a roof over my head wile im heating a box up of kraft dinner over a candle. Yippy!!! we get to eat tonight. The cat never gave me a job or anying to do with it. but i feel sorry for those who lost there min wage paying jobs to keep the rich shop keepers in the money.

The part of the column about wine is fine. The bull about the ferry isn't. Why would Pam think the Cat should receive a yearly handout of 8 million when even the owner of the Cat didn't think that was a good situation.
