It seems to me the editorial is missing the whole point of this situation. I would have no difficulty accepting the need for repairs to the Premier's Office or any other public building if the matter had been brought forward for the Finance Committee or some other relevant committee to review...a committee that would include members of the Opposition. Issues such as this ought to involve all parties and the government has lost sight of the need for input from all members. They are so caught up in riding roughshod over their opponents that they simply refuse to believe anybody else can have a valid perspective.

Just to keep everything in perspective, perhaps the Opposition will agree to a proper clothier to address the Emperor's wardrobe so as to complement her new digs. What's another couple of hundred thousand to repair a train wreck.

Sorry but the Premier's explanation doesn't fly with me. I don't believe a word this government says.
