Why should Darin King expect an apology from anybody else when he was too arrogant and stubborn to apologize to MHA Gerri Rogers, even AFTER the Speaker of the HOA ruled that his earlier ruling was wrong. Speaker Wiseman apologized, and Darin should have been right there behind him, but it seems like he is not man enough to realize he can actually be wrong about something. There's nothing worse than a hypocrite who believes he is always right and expects everybody else to agree with him.... but won't accept that he was wrong, as amply demonstrated by the situation with Ms Rogers. Not the kind of qualities I would expect from a politician who fancies himself as a Premier-in-waiting!

Whatever penalty the people of NL might have in store for "The King", keep in mind he engineered his venture into politcs to be just a "leave of absence" from his school board loftiness, a position he's GUARANTEED to resume after this sojourn into regions beyond his comprehension. Taking with him huge benefits into his retirement compliments of the stund voters of the Burin Peninsula.

What a puffed-up, annoying little toad. Kids years ago would have called him a pip-squeak - and they'd be right. But please, Telegram, save us from these recurrent editorial themes that find both sides of the fracas in the House at fault. Try calling a spade a spade for a change. You were right half way through your column. The only take-away from this diatribe from Darin King is his daily dose of feigned indignation and - as you say - his penchant for demanding apologies. You failed to mention that while King was ruffling his neck feathers and fanning his tail like a common grouse, that ever obnoxious, you-know-what-disturber Jerome Kennedy was putting off his own punch and judy show in the background. And, as taxpayers, we pay them the big bucks for this?
