Excellent article, Dale! You have made a number of valid points concerning the availability of, and accessibility to, "public" post-secondary education in this province, and I commend you for coming out in support of "public" delivery of programs that meet the needs and wants of our province's citizens. Taxpayers in Newfoundland and Labrador have very short memories. It wasn't that long ago that the "public" College system stepped in and trained out a large number of students who were left high and dry when Lorraine Lush and her "private" educational institutions went bust. I wonder will anyone bother to question who will benefit the most from the contracting out of ABE. It certainly wouldn't be any former (or perhaps current) MHAs or their friends and supporters, would it? Heavens no, the Conservatives would never do that, would they? And when was the last time the government went to MUN and cancelled programs? I'm thinking never. But then again, the rich relatives usually get far better treatment than the poor cousins!

Haven't you heard? This is an improvement! Joan Shea says it is, so it must be true.
